The North Maine Woods entry points are locally placed in St. Francis and Allagash. With ample opportunities to recreate, these woods are thousands of acres available to you. Shown above is the Debouille region of the Allagash Wilderness where you can hike and even climb an old fire tower.

Lake Recreation
The area is full of beautiful undeveloped fresh water lakes as part of the Fish River Waterway and others. Pictured above is Long Lake which can be accessed in the towns of St. Agatha, St. David and Sinclair. There is a restaurant in St. Agatha that overlooks the lake. Check out the Lakeview Restaurant!

Fort Kent
Fish River Falls is accessible with a hike through the Fort Kent airport. Fort Kent offers other unique recreation opportunities including the Block House and the Outdoor Center. Fort Kent is the beginning of US Route 1, "The First Mile". Home to the international bridge border crossing between Canada & the US.

Frenchville
Frenchville is known for it's dark sky. The ability to see the northern lights is more and more frequent. Not too far from our property in Frenchville is a Dark Sky Observatory. This facility is off grid and free of charge. Parking is available and small hike to the top of the hill to view stars, the Milky Way and the Aurora!

Winter Fun
This region is the perfect winter wonderland. Hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails, ski resort, groomed cross country ski trails, ample areas to snowshoe and toboggan. In March of each year, Fort Kent offers the Can-Am Dogsled Race that begins right downtown! Super fun unique winter experience.

Festival Fun
There are many festivals and fun happenings in the area with most notable being the annual Can-Am Dogsled Race, Muskie Fishing Tournament, Logger Fest and Ice Fishing Tournament. All are unique local events that feature and focus the local culture, work ethic and of course the outdoors!
